I was pretty sure it wasn’t really going to be “my crowd”, but I figured I’d check it out anyway just to be sure. Mostly plastidipped Evos and Subies with tinted headlights. But I did manage to spot a few gems.
I spent most of my time chatting with the owner of this SVX and his friend. We commiserated over the fact that no one else there seemed to notice or care about one of the rarer Subarus around.
And not just a Bricklin, but a pair of them! Including one of the rattiest ones you’ll likely ever see on the road. Much of the interior was non-existent, as were the rear glass panels.
Also, a dealership brought one of these:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
You can see it in the corner of the Bricklin pic.
Damnit, kinja.

It seems like 99% of all remaining SVXs are all purple.

While looking for a replacement for my 208, I saw this one:

Which is kinda tempting, but impossible to resell

A ‘92 Claret (color pictured) was the first SVX I really noticed. I like the color a lot, but it’s one of those colors that needs to be clean to look really good.
Also, if you see him again, tell him some of his wheels are on backwards (front left, and one on the right).

I sometimes go looking for them on that site (never mind the fact I’m in the US); in fact I recently found a very nice Bright Yellow example, which we didn’t get in the US.
Not many were sold in Europe, so I can image the demand and interest for them is quite low.

Must be a regional thing. In the East, Ebony black and Brilliant red seem to be the most “common”

I think we don’t really have a Subaru crowd here

And that’s the issue... You need a strong Subaru crowd to have even a weak SVX crowd.
